1. Our Commitment
FitOut Insider is committed to making our platform accessible to as wide an audience as possible, including users with disabilities. We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA across all tools and pages, treated as an ongoing process rather than a one-off audit.
2. Standards We Follow
Our published target is WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We adopt this standard voluntarily. FitOut Insider is a private business and is not a public sector body, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to us. We hold ourselves to the same technical standard because our users work on site, often on phones, in poor light and with gloves on, and because we think a tool nobody can use is not a tool. We also align with EN 301 549 V3.2.1 where applicable.
3. What We Have Done
• Semantic HTML throughout, headings, landmarks, lists, form labels
• Keyboard navigation on primary flows, every input and button reachable via Tab
• Colour contrast checked against WCAG AA (4.5:1 body, 3:1 large)
• Dark and light mode with preserved contrast
• Visible focus indicators on interactive elements
• ARIA labels on icon-only buttons
• Form error messages associated with the relevant input
• No auto-playing media or unexpected motion
4. Known Limitations
• Some dense data-table tools may be challenging with screen readers. We aim to complete this by 31 March 2027.
• Complex multi-step forms (100+ inputs) may not be optimised for smaller screens. We aim to complete this by 31 March 2027.
• AI outputs are reviewed for plain-language structure but may include dense construction terminology.
• Client-side PDF exports have limited tagging/alt-text compared to bespoke PDF tools.
5. Reporting Accessibility Barriers
If you encounter a barrier, get in touch via Contact, response target 5 working days. Please include the page URL, what you were trying to do, the assistive technology used, and what went wrong.
6. If We Do Not Put It Right
If you report a barrier and you are not satisfied with our response, write to hello@fitoutinsider.com marking the message for the attention of the service operator, and it will be reviewed personally. We are a small team and there is no separate appeals process to route you through.
7. Technical Information
FitOut Insider is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA; non-compliance is documented in Known Limitations. This statement was prepared on 16 April 2026, last reviewed on 30 September 2026, and is reviewed again whenever new tools ship or significant improvements land.
